Just in case you weren't feeling too old today ...

The people who started college this fall were born in 1992.

They are too young to remember the space shuttle blowing up.

Their lifetime has always included AIDS.

The CD was introduced two years before they were born.

They have always had an answering machine.

They have always had cable.

Jay Leno has always been on the Tonight Show.

Popcorn has always been microwaved .

They never took a swim and thought about Jaws.

They don't know who Mork was or where he was from.

They never heard: 'Where's the Beef?',
'I'd walk a mile for a Camel ' or
'de plane Boss, de plane'.

McDonald's never came in Styrofoam containers.

They don't have a clue how to use a typewriter.

Pass this on to the other old fogies on your list.

Notice the larger type?

That's for those of us who have trouble reading.

P.S. Save the earth. It's the only planet with chocolate.

After today I don't think I have any bones left. I feel more like a jelly fish. Spent most of the day messin under the hood on a CAGE! :(" title="" border="0"/>

These kids have no idea how tacky 1950's kitchen sets were in that horrid yellow formica either.

They probably have no idea what a pony skirt is, saddle shoes, and or church keys.

I recall paper Micky Dee's food holders last, which tells you something.. And if not Styrofoam, what in blue blazes do they serve their poison in now anyway:?

Maybe someone should break down and bring back the 8 tracks huh?

In 1980 I was repairing main frame computers in the space of a warehouse that didn't have as much computing power as the Blackberry now clipped to my belt. A 3K & 5K memory board was several sandwich boards with actual copper wiring and tiny donut magnets for each bit of memory. And the entire memory board was the size of the LCD monitor you are probably reading this 1 meg posting with pics included... You can see all this in the Smithsonian now!

The kids probably can't remember a car without airbags let alone seat belts. I gotta stop. I think I am getting out of breath typing... :-/

Listening to the radio on Saturday night because there wasn't any TV.

Using a Sears and Roebuck catalog for toilet paper while in the outhouse.

Using Sears and Roebuck for TP was okay until you got to the chainsaw section. Then things really got rough!!

Okay Bob, you just made me feel young.

My wife and I were talking about this the other day. We have 3 boys, 19, 25, and 27. They have never lived in a world without VCRs or CDs, they have never seen an analog clock in a car or on a stove, they have never seen a black and white television, they have never lived in a house without a microwave oven.

I bought my first "computer" in 1981. It was an Atari 800. They have always had a computer in the house.

They don't know what a leisure suit is, not that that's a bad thing. I'm sure if my dad hadn't passed away before they were born, they would know what a leisure suit looks like.
