I'm from Austintown, which is 1/2 way tween Pittsburg and Cleveland. We often times make it out to "Kellys' Riverside" and "Jeffries Landing" Restaurants, which are in Chippewa, just outside of Pittsburg right on the river off of rt. 51. We also frequent "Ole Stonewall" (The Castle) in Ellwood City a few times a season. Wifey and I went down to Seven Springs last year (in the cage) for our 25th anniv. to see the Fall Foilage, that was quite beautiful. One of my favorite "one day rides" is to hit 80 to 19 in Mercer, then take 62 all the way to Tionesta!!! I then bring 8 back to 80. The roads are great, mostly curvy, with a bunch of the ride along the river, with many changes of scenery. In Tionesta, we eat lunch at the "River Forks" Restaurant, which is about a Century old buffet. It looks terrible from the outside, but has an old 3 tier deck in the back to die for!! After logging about 46k miles on lil Honda in the last 6 years, that is still my favorite ride in PA. I'm sure you've been across the Kinzu Dam Bridge,,, what a glorious site that is!! Ohio is mostly "Flat" :'( , but I've managed to find a few good rides . Do you ride one or two up?? This Nomad can figure on having my lovely wife glued on the back 99% of the rest of er life!! She enjoys riding more than I do . When she works the weekend (every other), I HAVE to be home the second she pulls in the drive to pick her up on the bike, otherwise I have to deal with feline attitude for at least two days (and nights :'( ). Also, if you might be interested in doing the "North East Forum Meet" next year, maybe we could ride together to it. I did a Honda Shadow Forum Meet in Canada a few years back, and it was a real hoot to meet a bunch of the people I'd been corresponding with in Forum. Let me just say, The Canucks are still trying to recover their Molson Stockpiles after that meet!! Anyway, we'll have to stay in touch here, and do a ride next season,, hmm,, or maybe see some PA leaf changing,, what are you doing tomorrow?? ... jim / ohio

O.K. Dixie, you've got my attention!! I thought I'd have to wait until I passed away and was in heaven afore I could ride the open roads for 30k miles tween rear tire changes!! Two obvious questions here, 1. The handling and 2. How much modifying is needed? Now I'm thinkin since you guys have gotten such a kewlio name (Darksiders) you must have a link or 3 for me to read?? This is MOST interesting!! All my H.D. budds would have a caniption if I did this!! H.D. finally just moved up from the bicycle rear tire to the scooter tire. Can you also run studded snow tires back there?? Since I'm the only biker to ride when temps drop to around 40, workmates already joke about me putting a ski on the front!! Info Dixie, info.. jim P.S.,, the Circle Restaurant... Home cookin at family prices!! My buddies and I joke about Mecca, callin it "The Center of the World".

Sorry to be so long in responding.

Here's a couple links on Darkside information.
You can also Google car tires on motorcycles, and Darkside for more information.

Yea, you're right. Your HD buds will tell you your going to go down in flames, Earth is flat and a few other choice comments. But hey....all the more reason to do it.

PS: I'm just about too install my 2nd car tire. It works!! ;)
