Thumbs Up 2012 Rally Rides

We have the location and dates locked in for the 2012 Rally, Townsend, TN June 14-17. The details for lodging are being worked out this week and will be posted as soon as they are set.

Our next thing is to get some rides set for the rally. I was thinking that having a couple options for Friday and Saturday would be great. We will need ride leaders and sweep riders for each. Routes will need to be planned out also.

Anyone that would be willing to help develop the routes, please post here along with any ideas for where we should ride. Once we have some suggested ideas, we will move forward with the route planning and finalizing everything.

Come on over Scott. Anyone is welcome from any region. I may be going to the NW/WCanada rally in July myself.

I live in West Knoxville and Townsend is one of our usual starting points.
Here's a few country rides we use.
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...bc05e294&msa=0
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=To...2,3,4&t=m&z=11
http://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=To...4,5,6&t=m&z=12
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...71ee6f2b&msa=0
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=...5378b61c&msa=0

Where do you want to go?
What sights do you want to see?
How long do you want to be on the road?
Twisties? Sweepers? Shopping?

Thanks for the ride maps Mike. I think we have some winners for sure. Been on a couple of those before but willing to take any of them again.

Grandpa Goose, I figured you'd be chomping at the bit to get a route out there for us to ride. I want one that a bus driver would follow :)

I sure hope I and the wife can be there. Very new to this forum and the updates... so if you would send a message with details, that would be great. At least until I am familiar with the navi. of this forum.

Welcome aboard! You joined at the perfect time. That being the time when the details are being sorted out for the Regional Rally. Your input is is welcome. We have the date set, and now CoachA will negotiate a rate with a motel and a campground. Then all you have to do is show up.

Let the women take care of the vacuum schedule at work. They enjoy it and I'm sure thats what they got hired for. You schedule time off for the rally.
