Dyno Results from today for 2008 Nomad
Hello,
I just came back from a Harley Dealer that was having like an open house thing and they were doing Dyno runs for $10 donation to charity. So i figured i would give it a try heres what we got. 2008 Nomad 1600 V&H Pipes Barons Air Kit Fi2000 fuel processor Reed Valve Covers "Medusa" is gone Tested in fourth gear did six runs with 66.53hp the highest and 65.66hp the lowest. Torque was 85.38 highest and 84.56 lowest. Max RPM was 5800 before governor kicked on and max speed was 110mph. That was the extent of the dyno numbers they provided it wasn't a full blown dyno session. But cool to see. Any idea what the bike is stock?

I remember reading 1600 stock hp in the upper 50's. Can't remember what max torque was but it had to be less than what your's did. A local independent MC shop charges $40 for 3 pulls along with tweaking the fuel processor. I may let them do it after I install my intake kit. Thanks for posting this information. Not bad numbers.

I think 56hp is stock if I remember correctly, and $40.00 sounds really good to get a bike on the dyno.

Dynos are very tough on bikes. I guess that's why most shops want you to sign a waiver of responsibility before they roll it up on the rack.

Yeah it is cooling down here too. I might need to get a hypercharger for me so I can friggin just breath..... I was being quite about being sick, but now I can't take it anymore and just want to breath.
I got in a few wet miles yesterday, liquid oxygen helps i guess.

Bad Boy Bad Boy whatcha gonna do Bad Boy
The problem was you didn't git me ta' guide! I know where thyem cops hang out in the shade. You just try some regular old 87 octane too mista! You gonna be building carbon cakes in that theya' engine ifn' ya don't burn the best bang fer the buck! That should get you a bit better romp n go on that dyno too. 93 octane is for sissies.

ok will do! i will try 87 because i trust ya, will advise! as for the NHSP those cars just blend in to the damn trees too (green and brown!) o well he was nice enough i guess. so i will get more umphhhh with 87 over 93 ya think?

Yeah, but not enough to feel. With these mods you are running slightly richer than you should, but the 87 should fix that. The more even controlled burn you have with 93 octane is of no use, and will build carbon faster, which no one needs.
87 will blow that out better, and form less of it. The only reason the books say hi test fuels is because the engine were overly lean due to EPA BS. What octane should be equated to is the compression ratio, and 9.5:1 is not high compression. 9.5:1 is the upper end of middle of the road compression.
