Preferred final drive gear oil?

I need to change the oil in my final drive. What do ya'll use and recomend.

I run Mobil 1 full syn oil in 80/90 gear oil. I tend to change it at each oil change. There is no way 6 bloomin ounces will run out any 24,000 miles. I don't add the full depth either I set the side stand up on a 2x4 laid flat and fill to that point of over flow. That's it.

To speed things yo I have my wife sit on the pillion seat which makes better access to the drain bolt. Then dump engine oil in another drain pan, and swap out the oil filter.

I get my wife back to install that drain bolt, and fill er up.

The tool I use is a 1/2 inch Fender Washer padded well with a rag to turn out and in both filler caps. A real beat up silver dollar does this as well.

Ive used Castrol 80/90 gear oil, I change it more often than recomended since it doesn't hold that much in the final drive.

mobil 1 synth. change every other oil change, over kill i kno, but it doesnt take much.

I use the Mobil 1 75W-90 full synthetic at each oil and filter change. I use Mac's method of the flat 2X4 and drain the oil and rear oil at the same time. One quart bottle will last through a few changes.

Like Alabama, I use the Mobil 1 75W-90 full synthetic, but I change mine every other oil change, and I'm going to start doing like Mac, and get my wife to sit on the seat to where I can get to the drain plug, instead of taking the mounting bolts out of the V&H muffler.

Royal Purple full synthetic 75w-90. Every 2 - 3 engine oil changes.

Mobil 1 75W-90 full synthetic. Replace at every oil change.

I think I'll reverse the Mac method and set on the pillion and have the Mrs. drain and fill the final drive.
