750 TZ, 750 ShadowAce, 1500 Kawi Classic, Gold Wing, 1500 Nomad and my current a Voyager, all in the space of 12 years or so.
I thought the Wing was going to be my 'keeper' but being vertically challenged it was just not comfortable when stopped on anything other than flat pavement. It really pi$$ed me off when I had to sell it as I had gone over it top to bottom changing everything but the air in the tires but...
I believe my current, an '09 Voyager will be my forever ride now. Comfortable, all kinds of get up and go, radio (a must) and cruise and low enough. Should be better with the lowering kit I just installed but I haven't sat on it since I installed it so I'll know once the weather gets better.....Mike

I started out with a Tote-Gote at about age 12. Then got a Penncraft mini-bike the next year, which I rode to death. I also bought an old Hodaka Combat Wombat with my lawn mowing money. Then I graduated to a Honda CR250 Elsinore dirt bike when I was 17. When I was in the Marines stationed at El Toro I bought a 1973 Sportster. After I got discharged I rode it back home to Salt Lake City. Winter was coming, so I sold the Sporty to buy a car. Didn't own a bike again until March 17, 2007 when I bought a 2005 Suzuki C50T which I traded in 6 months later for a new 2007 Nomad. Rode that for 3 1/2 years until I totaled it out on March 15, 2011. Bought a 2011 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited on April 1, 2011 and I still own that bike.

I had a fun time remembering the old bikes and looking for pictures of the first few on the internet. Makes me feel very old and fat, knowing that my first bike was a Yamaha 50cc from the 60s!!! LOL....

Is the Haosen Hawk the 250? If so, how do you like it?

Much like owning a cruiser, you have to enjoy it for what it is. It's not fast or sophisticated, but it's a fun bike for off road or dirt/gravel road riding. It cruises comfortable at 45 to 55 on pabed road. For only 1300 delivered to my door, there is no complaints from me. I've had to tinker with the carb and various bits but it's been fun. Overall it's a terrific value as long as you go into it with proper expectations. I was skeptical before buying it but for the price decided to take a flier. I have been pleasantly surprised that the quality isn't really too bad.

I have a good friend who I do adventure riding with, I on my VStrom DL650 and his on a BMW Paris-Dakar R100 GS. He also has a Kawasaki 250 Sherpa that he's ridding throughout Mexico and into South America. It's just about beaten to death though and he's considering one of these. If is the same one I've seen reviews on it's a pretty little complete bike, bags and all.

Edit: Just did a search for it and it is not he same one. This looks like a nice little single trail 250 but the one I saw an ad on was a 250 Adventure bike, complete with bags and rack.
