Be safe friends, be safe

Riding is at it's peak this time of year. Be safe. Helmets, bright colors, loud horns, BE SEEN. Take your time and arrive in one piece. Please, be safe. Here in Oklahoma, there have been a lot of deaths in the past few weeks, a couple from excessive speed, two DUI, one north bound in a south bound lane, and one trying to avoid a car crash and had no experience to avoid the wreck. Please my good friends, take the extra time, gear up, and ride safe. I am a member of the Downed Bikers Association and our goal is to be put out of business. Please, be safe.

Yup like he said! Having been on the losing end of a SUV vs Nomad get together, I now take intersections a lot more serious than I use to.

Well put Don. The only way to survive this very enjoyable hobby is the practice of driving for everyone around you. It also makes a much better automobile driver out of us by practicing defensive driving.

Be safe friends, be safe

My wife and I where riding one evening and the light turned green and she stalled her bike, one second later, a late model Suburban ran the red light at full speed. Had my wife not stalled her bike, neither of us would be here today. That was about a year ago and it taught us both a lesson that I know neither one of us will soon forget, someone was watching out for us that evening,(yes, I believe Jesus would ride a Nomad) and people make mistakes and sometimes people get hurt.

Put your hand in the hand of the man that stilled the waters....
Sometimes theres not a dang thing that you can do other than not be there.
Went thru Bergheim today in the rain, doing speed limit, when a pickup came around the curve way too fast and used up the emergency lane. If he hadn't pulled it back into his lane, It would have been it for me and the truck behind me. We had nowhere to go except up.

Amen! I wish you were out of business too. I also have been on the wrong side of pickup vs Nomad, I am back now and plan (hope) to stay.
