Waveland Meet & Eat **More pictures added**

Hey guys, Weather permitting, how about a lunch meet & eat at J's Seafood Restaurant in Waveland, MS on 1/29/11? Darlene and I ate lunch there Friday. The food is fantastic and they don't cut you short. We shared a Santiago Seafood Platter and took nearly half of it home in a box. The Silver Slipper and Hollywood Casinos are both close by and there is always the opportunity for a great ride along the beach. It would be a nice one day or overnight get together. The owner of the restaurant sits on several committees including the tourism board. He told me that with a few days advance notice that he could get us a good deal on rooms. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we could always take a rain check for the next month. Think it over.

Mitch it all depends on the weather. I would definitely enjoy it but that is quite a trip for me in the winter. Maybe we will have some warmer weather then. I just don't count on it though.

I may try to make it but looks like my whole 2011 riding plans are screwed because of work. They have me scheduled to do things during the national rally too. It will probably be this way until I retire (anywhere from 2015-2019). Just have to do short notice rides I guess.

That sounds like a tough year coming up Bobby. Maybe things will change. Work sure takes the fun out of life. But without work it takes the money out of life and that really takes the fun out of life.

Sounds doable! 43 south out of Columbia is a favorite ride for several of us in this area. Keep the posts coming and maybe we can firm something up.

I'll keep posting updates. I wanted to give a well advanced notice to everyone. I know with Christmas and New Years Day upon us, everybody will need at least a couple of weeks to recupe. Bobby (Zoom), I purposely picked a later weekend in the month hoping you and your wife could make it. I remember you saying that the first two weekends of the month are tough for you to get off. We'll watch the weather and play it from there. January and February can be pretty unpredictable, both good and bad. It could be snowing that weekend or over 70 degrees. Who knows?

I understand Glenn, if it's too cold we'll back it up until it warms up. I don't think anybody wants to ride short or long distances in freezing weather. We have cold snaps with below freezing weather like now but they don't last very long. But that is here in the tropics, not in the Midwest. We've got over 1 1/2 months before the end of January to watch the weather and make our plans. Just want to keep it well ahead of the National Rally. What works for most of us will be good for me.

Howdy, Mitch. Weather permitting, I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday weekend. I was supposed to go to Manresa, but I decided not to go this year. Keep me posted. My short answer for now is that I'm in.
