Sweet bike! Just saw one like it this past Saturday... it looked very nice indeed.

Welcome to the HD crowd. Now go sit at the back of the VBA bus and keep quiet... you lowly "enthusiast"!

Thanks Rick.

I've neglected many things on the home front recently so I'll probably spend the weekend around the house.

I know it's Oyster Run and it happens once a year but it's unlikely for me to do it this year.

Did you do the Salmon Run?

Thank you for the complements. Birch White/Midnight Pearl was first introduced in the 2012 line-up (at least new for the Canadian market).

And I'm prepared to tackle the social pressure H-D riders are subjected on here .

There are always question marks when one makes such a big purchase, knowing you've been down that path, your reassurance is appreciated.

Hi Kris, truth be told, given enough time, most people on these boards would ride a H-D eventually. We just don't enough time and I only fast forwarded the time line for myself.

I like the new V-twin motors Kawi makes, pre-2009 Nomads are the best looking Vulcans (heck you and i had 2008 Nomads not that long ago). The question is how many bikes can one have?

And I like hanging out on these forums because there are like-minded people who love riding. And I enjoy reading their stories and seeing their photos.

BTW, I like the luggage rack on Cajunrider's tour-pak. If I accessorized my Electra, it would be on the top of the list.

Cheers!

E.

Truth be told.....my last bike might very well be a big ol' cushy HD of some sort. Gonna put a few years and a whole lotta miles and memories on this new Voyager first though! Good luck and enjoy that incredibly fine looking scooter!

No E I didn't. I had made plans to go for breakfast with a friend and my back was playing hell with me..... and still is today. You??
Can't you get away for one day? It is the day of rest you know. You and your wife could have a great time.

I'm certain you'd ride the hell out of that big ol' cushy HD, Kris.

With this new bike, once again I feel so fortunate. It is such a gift many cannot even dream of. I think we're really so damn lucky because we can do these crazy things and get away with it.

Wishing you many thousands miles on your new Voyager!

Cheers,

E.

When you buy a H-D, they treat you well, at least Trev Deeley treated me well. Once the papers are signed, you become a HOG member and they take you a tour of the store to introduce you to the three depts. First stop, riding gear, you get a free t-shirt and a discount coupon. Then the shop-girl takes you to parts dept. The same deal, you get a discount coupon, free cleaning agent+mitt and parts catalog. Final stop is service, yet another coupon and free tire gauge.

Well that makes it totally worth the price tag right there.

More than what I got from HoleShot in Langley.

They start the brainwashing right away when you buy one!

Seriously though... you have to admit... HD does it right. My dealer has a dinner once a month for those who bought a new bike during the month... along with all the other gifts and etc they hand out.

Be sure to take your bike to a parking lot and try doing tight slow-turns... you'll be amazed at how much easier it is on these things.

Enjoy!
