Bracket for license plate

Just bought a custom dynamics curved license plate with turning light. This for my 2011 Vaquero. It cones with no plate frame to attach to the bike. Does anyone have any advice or a place to purchase a curved plate bracket ?

I have looked into this and what I found was that with out some serious mods your looking at a lot of work, if you can return the current plate bracket and get the Kuryakin Curved License Plate your task will be much easier. If you stay with the custom dynamics you will need to fab a bracket for the mounting.

Not sure if you're handy, but I cut my factory bracket apart and tig welded some modifications up in a few hours with a CD curved plate holder. I used the back part of the factory bracket so I had an easy way to mount it to the existing holes. $10 later at the powder coat place...and wallah. Fun little winter project.

Thank you, Smokier! Guy Romeo, if you don't have a welder or the skills, dream up what you want, make a drawing or a cardboard mock up and take it to a local welding shop. Most places will be glad to help out.

I also installed the Custom Dynamics curved license plate and used the Custom Dynamics mount, had to modify a little but not much.

Looks so much better without that OEM large assembly to hold the license plate and turn signals. I plan to do something similar on my project VN1600 to clean up the tail end and use LEDs for the turn signals in place of the large stock turn signals. Since my Classic will eventually be a bagger Nomad I plan to incorporate the turn signal LEDs into the bags.
