Anyone from Australia...

Hi Guys,
By my records, there are close to 44 members of the VBA in Australia. And since I haven't heard much out of you guys lately, I wanted to see if we might reorganize things in Australia.

Is Finky still around? I have him listed as the leader of the Aussie group.

Someone from Australia get in touch with me either here in this board or PM me and let me know. I'd like to reorganize and get things going in Australia.

Thanks,
Trip

g,day trip, i know about 10 of the members here, but all have been quiet in the last year, finky has recently moved to western australia, and most members on here rode with him when he was in victoria. i assume this is why most have been quiet as they no longer have the big fella to lead them, im still looking in here every week, but spend most time in the general areas, let us know what you have planned and ill try and help you out,,, cheers, james.

Hi James,
Thanks for answering. I need someone to lead the Australian group and get things back together. I realize you guys are really spread out, but I'd like to assign a Australian Leader and even split up Aus into regions, like I've done with the USA and assign regional leaders. Would you, or someone else be willing to help out?

Thanks,
Trip

I realize that Australia is a big country. And the 44 members we have down there are spread out. Would you consider becoming a Region Leader? You could contact everyone virtually and get them back in the VBA using the forum.

I'd also like to see you guys plan a rally down there someday.

I've consumed enough Foster's in my day to be considered an "honorary Aussie". Does that count?

Alright James... if you're willing to give it a go.. so am I.

I'll announce that James "madcow" Hitchins is the new VBA Vice President-Australian Operations. This will make you part of the VBA staff.

I'll give you access to the staff board and post your bio on the website.

It will be your job to cultivate VBA members and regions in Australia by any means...electronically, holding rally's, get-togethers, etc. Once a region is created, you can appoint a Region Leader for that region.

I realize that this will take time and I (as well as the rest of the VBA staff) stand ready to help you anyway we can.

If you're cool with all of this... then let me know.

Id say 15 Nomads is a very respectful turnout for you fellas considering the geographics of Australia.
Im sure they still sell Fosters here. We used to drink it because it came in a one litre can, good for the times you can only have one beer.

madcow --- If it would help, I'd be happy to make a trip down there to assist with a rally or two. Of course, you'd have to pay for my air fare and the shipping of my Nomad. Both ways.
