Now the rest of you, stop. I'm not ready to winterize till the Snow flies.

But I do the oil change, Battery tender (year 2 with one, normally I pull it and put in the house charging at 2amps every month). Move the bike every 2 weeks to avoid flat spots on the tires. But I also Do what maybe sacrilegious but I start it almost every 2 weeks to a month. Normally I do it during a riding window ( clear roads) and ride some. Just to hear it. I am not good at sitting on it making motorcycle noises. I like to think I run it long enough to vaporize condensation and do realize I will most likely have condensation in the heads/Cylinders but it is for sanity. Last 2 bikes no issues, I realize I may have been just lucky. I am going to try and resist this year, but no guarantees. Last year I rode on Christmas, New Years Day and Washington's Birthday. I parked it after Thanksgiving.

Thanks

The storm came and went.

I've gone riding since.

This winterizing is kinda nice, but it's still HOT.

We're looking at 90 here today.

Sorry to all of you guys up north, but our real riding season is about to start.

We get down below 0 out here in Central Oregon in December and January. My bikes are kept in the shop with battery tenders attached to both, and a full tank of non ethanol premium. I may throw a couple of blankets over them when it gets really cold, but on occasion about every two weeks or so through winter, I will start them and run them to warm up and dry out everything and they get through it just fine.

Anyway, i wanted to know what others do when they winterize their bike?

Let air out of the tires?

Park the bike on pieces of wood, so the tires aren't on the cold pavement?

Remove the battery and store it indoors?

Run all the fuel out of the tank or put fuel stabilizer in?

Etc etc?

I know this isn't really on point, but I break out the cold we riding gear. Course usually only have to battle a few flurries every now and then; not snow drifts.
