Shock Valve Stems

Anybody found an extension that angles the stem into the space between the saddlebag and the seat and doesn't leak? If I had the tiny hands of a six year old or the fingers of an orangutan it would be easy to reach in there and twist off the cap and twist on the pump, twist off the pump and twist on the cap. Whew, I'm exhausted. I tried one extension but it leaked.

Go to Les Schwab Tires. They sell extensions and you can bend them, within reason, to an angle that may be more appropriate for your needs.

And they don't cost much, the one I bought was less than $5.00.

Are your valves facing backwards like mine were ? If so,swap the shocks over so they are facing forward, much easier to get at the valves.

You might want to check out this threads..............

I don't think he sells them any more, but I made me one up like this one, and it leaks no air at all.

I do prefer to have the shocks hooked together, 'cause no matter what pressure you have, the shocks are always equal.
