My luck I would forget the lanyard when dismounting and would turn into the Michelin Man

Mike
I have a Jacket and have used mine for about 6 years now. I used to wear the chest insert but on long rides it became uncomfortable.

When I first got it I was relearning to ride slow when I did something that I learned not to do and I fell off on the high side. The jacket went off. It worked as advertised. Held the helmet in place and very tight around the body for about 10 sec or so and then slowly the air starts to release.

If you get one I would recommend that you get 2 co2 canisters and keep one on the bike just in case.

It has to be a pretty hard tug to set it off. There have been a few times that I started to get off the bike before unhooking but as soon as you stand up you know that it is there and stop. I have never set it off just getting off the bike.

I figured that was coming. Any ideas on which would be best here in South Florida ?
Debating just the vest versus the minimum thing they have

Here in Boca Raton I am considering the 'Sherman Tank' safety vest.

IT has 4" of steel plate to protect the rider from the idiots on the road.
