I'm leaving friday July 18 at 7:00 am. I will be taking highway 6 to I-70 and then taking highway 50 to Montrose. Audiogooroo (and whoever else is comming with him) will meet me in Montrose at 2:00 pm about a block south of the 50/550 intersection (specifically HERE). We will continue down 550 and will be staying in Durango at The Caboose Motel, 3363 Main Ave, Durango, CO · (970) 247-1191. Saturday, I'll be going tdown to the 4 corners through Cortez and then ride back through Moab.

I'll be in Colo Springs the morning of the 18th and will leave from there, AGR has further details for a meeting point in the Springs.

And anyone else who wants to go. (any Hooligans want to ride where it's cooler? ) I may have another rider with me as well. (on a Triumph). He's going to let me know in a day or two. He's the drummer I worked with for many years and I've known him since 1984. Great guy! Wanderer sends his regrets that he won't be joining us this time, but will see us at the National Rally in Custer next year. 40shooter said he was interested when we first started discussing this ride several months ago. I sent him a PM a few days ago, but haven't heard back from him. It's been awhile since he posted too.
See you guys on friday! Woohoo!

Maybe this new and expanded board deak will work out, just need to get a thread started for a specific ride/activity and let it work from there. Although, made it a little easier to exchange some information knowing the eyes were more limited, maybe just a personal issue - I'll get over it.

That's your 1000th post, AG! I wish I could go with you guys, but it just wouldn't work with my work schedule. Try and have a good time anyway.

Sounds nice, but waaay out of range for me right now. Have fun you guys, and don't let Dan show you any shortcuts that don't at least appear to have been re-paved since the Hoover administration.

Have fun on the ride guys. Wish I could come along but we have had this training set for some time. Oh well, get to argue with a bunch of people on certain issues.

If you get a chance Wolfy, go through Bedrock, CO. and stop at the Bedrock General Store. Have a safe trip.

There is a GREAT auto museum in Gateway, CO, near the UT border on 141...50 or so of the best examples of convertibles in the world, including the Olds F-88 (forerunner to the 53 Corvette) bought at the Barrett-Jackson for 5M...it's really worth seeing....the road from Gateway to Uravan is also very scenic...

Jack, I stopped at that museum last month on a ride out to Utah. It was certainly worth seeing, it's a pretty good ride getting in and out of there too. I didn't know that the museum was there, I just happened to stop and get gas there and saw it.
Here's some photos

We took the wrong turn at Naturita in 2001 on one of our Four-Courners/Million Dollar Highway rides (with Wiledog)....ended up in Gateway, out of gas, no gas stations for 50 miles.....found a lady that would sell us some farm gas and made it on into Grand Junct...the Resort and Museum were not there at that time....nothing but the post office and a cafe.
