Denver Bike Night

This Tue, the 19th, a handful of VROC'rs are getting together in Castle Rock at a restaurant for what will probably be a bike less bike night.

Ells or anyone else from here is invited to come too.

We made it Castle Rock because there were more from Colorado Springs that were vocal than Denver riders, so we moved kind of half way.

I suppose will keep doing it when the weather gets warmer.

If anyone wants to car pool from down town Denver, I'll pick you up.

Thanks Dan. Saw the thread on VROC and should have responded but was out of town when the plan was to try for it last week. CR is a little far for me that time of day, this time of year, I'm north on US36 towards Lyons. Will try to meet up when the riding gets better or the group wants to head a little north. Cheers!

Ells, it started out as a Denver proper Bike night, but if the Colorado Springs group keeps being the most energetic, will probably keep meeting half way.

I'm driving down, not riding. But I'm looking forward to a nice summer meeting where we all do ride.

Here's where it's at for anyone else.

The Rock yard. 7:00pm, or near to it.

Lucky bastard. It takes me 40 minutes of traffic to get to a nice place to ride. It must take you 5.

Got the coordinates on the Rockyard. There is a large Denver-North VROC membership but not much, if any, activity that I am aware of.

Yeah, three stop signs and four miles of two-lane road and I'm at the entrance to Lefthand Canyon. Can make several loops from there using the Peak-to-Peak, including a few good watering holes.

Trade ya Dan. It's at least 120 miles to get to the mountains. Out here we have nice straight roads that you can fly on.

I like getting out on those roads too. At least its away from the mayhem of the I-25 corridor. Just where exactly are you Waterman, I get out in that general direction at times, though you said you worked for CSU?

I live near Akron. I work at a research station and am a regional specialist. I don't live in or near Ft Collins but make many trips there. In fact, getting ready to head to Greeley for the next several days.

I think only about 6. Eventually we'll do as good as the Arizona VROC'rs.
