Hit-n-fly

Was involved in a hit-n-fly on the way to work this morning. Damn bird just cleared the windshield and right into the faceshield of my FF helmet-at 75mph! Didn't even stop to leave an insurance card ... do I file a claim with PETA? Ducks Unlimited? Whiplash! I'm gonna sue!

Whoa! Haven't had that one yet. Glad it didn't cause you to go down.

Got a black bird into the left foot once at 90mph. It took my got off if the peg it had so much force. Catching one in the face could be pretty rough.

Glad that you didn't go down and was able to continue riding.
I HATE BIRDS. I have had a turkey bounce off of my shoulder, hit a pheasant in S.D. that exploded when it hit my foot/highway peg and damn near hit an Eagle when it swooped down and grabbed some critter that was crossing the road in front of me. I HATE BIRDS

I was riding a couple of weeks ago when a Bluzzard swoped down in front of me to pickup some road-kill. I nailed it doing 55 mph. It hit the right front side of my brand new Reckless fairing. I just knew that it has shattered the fairing. Lucky!!!!!!.

Yup it may have ended a bit different with a half helmet and sunglasses.
I had a Partridge walk right into my path and I managed to do a little swerve around him and missed him by inches. I looked in my mirror just in time to see my buddy behind me nail him. All I saw was a cloud of feathers explode into the air.

Birds always have the right away. Better call PETA and ask how much the fine will be!!

I hit a goony bird flying out of Midway. It hit square in the radome of the P-3B. Crushed the radome and the air hitting that less than aerodynamic cavity was deafening. We got turned around quick enough and got back down on the deck.
