maintenance schedule question

BD or anyone else with a manual, please reply.

I was reviewing this maintenance page on Gadget's site and I noticed "chasis parts - lubricate" every year with a reference to page 154.

What is considered "chasis parts - lubricate" Since the swing arm pivot and steering stem bearings are specifically mentioned else where?

Also why is there no recommended schedule for the drive line splines?

Thanks

wolfman in my manual, other is stated in section 2-37. rear brake rod joint; lubricate with motor oil. lubricate with grease the throttle inner cable upper ends.
clutch lever pivot (apply silicone grease)
Brake lever pivot (apply silicone grease)

this was should be dun after riding in wet or rainy conditions or especially after washing with high pressure water.

maintenance schedule question

When doing the sidestand, also make sure the sidestand safety switch mechanism is clean and operating smoothly. If that little lever hangs on mud, or there's mud on the stop for the stand, your bike might not want to start.

I don't have the schedule for the driveshaft on a 1600, but on the 1500 it's done at 7500 then every 15,000 afterwards. I just do mine at every rear tire change, as once you get the rear tire off you're 95% of the way there anyhow.

Also when you do this, check your u-joint for stiffness. I don't know if they cleared up this problem with the advent of the 1600, but it's been going on in a random manner for many years. I'm going to make another post about this matter here.
