Finally had a chance to discuss this with my mechanic today... He is well aware of this issue, knew there was a time when Kawasaki was covering the cost of this concern & issue... Suggested I contact Kawasaki and provide my VIN to see if there is any record of this repair being done... Confirmed if it isn't and this thing does break that bike will be a total loss vs cost of repair of $2,500... And also told me there is no way to check visually without tearing the engine apart to see, so same price either way... Total BS IMO! Kawasaki should have done a recall!
