Well I am just bein me.. You guys got some pretty nice guns, really....

Back in 72 i was bored with stuff a brass case and pull the trigger. So I bought a CVA derringer kit on a whim and built it. It worked and ever since I have been learning backwards.

That little gun went by the boards, and there were others in cap lock and they are all gone, and whats left is fine flinters which float my stick

I won't list what all I got, because I don't know who else, and not you guys would like that sort of info, but I will discuss a few.

I have a sort of Spanish Mauser in 6.5x54 MS, a odd round with a long round nose bullet. It is old and so has features no longer done these days. The butt plate for example is steel and also os checkered, possibly by hand. I can't say or spell this, so try hard, There is a shanebell at the muzzel as the stock is a full stock, something like Rugers International series.

Another name for this is a Model 93. Anyway the wood is massed ball of burl at the comb, and has light and dark in the forarm.

This was always a sporting gun and not converted to be what it is from a Military gun. Mostly is was used hunting small African Game, but in New England it was a brush gun for deer.

The head of the case isn't exactly like a Mauser case is, so it can't use necked down 6.5 x55 swiss, and carcano at 6.5 x 52/53? I think can't be fire formed.

If you back off in photobucket there is a brass barrel flint pistol I made nearly 98% of by hand. No Kit. The barrels was solid brass round stock, the pistol stock came out of a 16 foot long walnut plank. It shares the same ball the Nor West Gun shoots 0.60"

Some where in that mess is a Ruger Single Six in a hand sewn hand made holster, I did this past spring.

In another place there is a axe I found I had with no handle, and when I found it in my stuff, I had just handled a Collins' Axe which was very similar, so the unknow one I made up my way something like a heavy Hudson Bay. What it reallly is my idea of a Ft Meigs Axe, but no one here I bet ever heard that name.

I made a nice leather case for that cut down axe myself too, but haven't taken any pics of that part yet.

The top row first 3 are all the same axe head. The 4th pic shows the Ft Meigs in the middle of the group and it is the smallest, so not it has big brother.

Somehow I know a crawler is going to get me for saying big brother. Oh Brother! ::)

I thought it was one of them mannlicher's too, but the triggers are single on mine and not a set double they have. It eats the fodder they do though.

That gun drove me nuts! I have been told there is no such thing, or that I am a liar, and other things, when I mention this gun.

This was made around 1900 in Berlin Germany and is covered with stars of david, and what looks like the planet Saturn, and other matching same marks on most any metal parts there are.

I dropped the trigger on a round once and broke the tip off the firing pin and it mated up with a Model 93 pin, which is in it now, or it should be. I have the pin on a bench presently for drawings in case I break it again. Parts are getting either hard to find or very expensive.

I wasn't there of course, but as I hear it Messer's Mannlicher and Mauser were not the best of friends, and stole each others ideas.

In 1903 we got in on that act too, and the K98 of Mr. Mauser became our Springfield 30-06.

I got printed to work as a store clerk, but wouldn't want a FFL of my own for no amount of money. In NH you can own a full auto and silencers if you want to pay Uncle...

I don't have any of that, but I could if I had the money.

I won't list every thing myself, but I will talk about some things. been a long time since the 6.5 x 54 MS round was used to hold up some joint. And longer since a flinter was used...

I am no criminal but it seems the Feds would make me one if they can. I got fedral papers they can fill out before a search too. That won't be any fun for them, but it's legal. I kinda like that myself.

I worried about the day they might come long ago, and spread things around, so not all eggs are in one basket. I can go back in time to the point I don't need modern mans tooling and fodder anymore just to survive.

I got no beef with a soul, and want no power, so I shouldn't be bothered, but I am worried.

I have no reaon to think the Govt and anyone in it is out for more than money, and if telling lies will get money, they are willing to to do it.

Had family murdered, had court papers arrive days late and not legally filled out and no one cares. This in part is why I play the fool. I even went so far as to bring papers demanding my appearance to court after the court date to the next hearings, and it was all ignored.

They play their games and I just do my best.

Oh I don't believe I'll be doin' much loading. Flinters are for hunting, I got other stuff for 2 legged varmints. Might flip a mag or two, but I won't be loadin' nuthin.

I still know the Hair Buyer up in Quebec, if I don't want wall decorations myself..
