You guys who don't like the sight are free to leave and see if you can find one that is better.
When you can't you will be welcomed back and have a voice imediatly, no waiting. Just don't use it to bitch.
For what it is worth, Mike and Trip, I think you guys are doing a great job.
"bitchin" ???? I don't see that my opening post was "bitchin".

By the way, you do realize that LOUD pipes do safe lives?

I wasn't referring to you Bob.
I just took a couple others posts as bitching. Probably used the wrong word. Should have said complaining. There is a difference. Sorry.

You know my opinion on the loud pipes save lives BS so I'm not going there.

Remember the stories about riding your bike across somebody's lawn and the mean old man would spray you with the water hose??? Is that how you see Tim??

I know Tim. That's why I put the smileys on.

P.S. From previous posts you know I'm in full agreement with you about loud pipes. Just had to yank your chain a little. Gotta keep it light and lively here. Too easy to get uptight.

Edit: Whoo boy, I got that spelling error fixed before anyone could jump on it!

Perhaps Mike this is a good time if you could explain a little more about the ads and how they work. Is everyone seeing the same ads or are they tailored (or at least some of them) to individuals based on their surfing habits?
First off, thank you!

The ads are just the typical Google ads, found on most sites today. They are interest-based, meaning sometimes you'll see ads depending on what you've been searching for or looking at on the web. But mostly they are based on the keywords located throughout a page. So you'll see motorcycle and general automotive-type ads since this forum is based on a motorcycle.

That's pretty much it.

I think this site is very professionally run and has a lot of tolerance with attitudes when they rise up. So thanks Mike and Trip for your hrs. you put in to provide this site internationally.
Although I do have a curiousity about a trend that has come to my attention. It seems we have way more people on this site at any given time than a year ago but way less posting. At a quick calculation it appears that for every 100 views there seems to be about 9 replys. Hence not much participation as a group but lots of on the side members or guests doing the lookie loo. Am I the only one that has noticed this or am I breathing in too much freezing cold artic air lately.

Mike..yes I know that there are more posts but the ratio seems to be higher as in views compared to replies.

Isn't that kind of normal? Often I will look at a post and then decide it is not something I wish to participate in. Other times I will respond but check back what others have said without leaving further comment. Now this is just me, but assuming others do the same then you would have more views than responses. Add to that the fact that some people prefer to look with out getting involved on forums and that pretty much accounts for the the ratio IMO.
