The wife usually does not read this board so here the problem. June 17 will be our 25th wedding anniversary. I would like to get her something special. She is allergic to metal so jewelery is out. She just got her new Nomad in March and has all the bling she wants on it. She has 3 helmets, Widder electric gloves and vest. She has all kinds of coats, vest, chaps rididing pants, boots, etc She has her own custom fit hunting rifle, knife and pistol. She has told me never to get her anything to clean or cook with. We are riding to Oregon on a 3 week vacation just 3 weeks after our anniversary. I have made her a custom designed 25th Wedding Anniversary Card and plan to take her out for dinner. Flowers is the only other thing I can think of.

Any ideas?

I don't know or care what she is getting me. I never feel I have done enough! She is my wife, the mother of my child, my partner, soul mate and best friend.

First of all, congratulations! 25 years of marriage is no small feat in this day and age. On August 30, it will be 28 years for Mrs. Cactusjack and I.

I feel your pain. After so many years of accumulating things, it's hard to come up with that unique idea. I'm not going to try. Traditionally, silver is the 25th anniversary gift. Get her something in silver. Not jewelry, but go to a nice department store and they will have all kinds of nice silver serving pieces, silverware, goblets, etc.

This is a cool site with unique gifts. Check out the video ( lower right utube) of the Elephant that literally paints. One of these prints would be a neat gift, not knowing what she likes of course.

25 years for me, too, congratulations. The card is an excellent idea. Get her a new motorcycle bell for the bike. After all, they are supposed to be given to you, not bought on your own. Whether you believe in the gremlins or not, it is a nice thought.

On your anniversary tell the truth, I've been all over the place shopping and I couldn't find anything. My wife has been saying the exact same thing for months, so she will understand. What should I get you? Since we are going on the trip maybe you will see something. It is a win, win situation.

My wife let me buy the Nomad in December. I knew it was Christmas, Anniversary, and the Birthday present this year.

If nothing else, show her edited excerpts from this post. She will know you were really thinking about her. :) Again, congratulations.

Watchman...she sounds awesome.
When I don't know what to get my wife I get her a certificate good at a day spa. She may not admit it but she loves to be pampered.

I thought about the spa but the closest real spa is 60 miles away.
