Hey Steve, how you been. It has been over a year since you have been on the site. That's what happens when you get married and build a house
How's your Mom doin'. Tell her Cindy and I said Hi.
Good Luck sellin' the bike. Sounds reasonable.

Same thing happened to me about 26 years ago, got married and then the bike went the following season. Don't worry though, most of us get another one in 20 years or so.

Good looking bike. Hope you have good luck selling it. Hate to hear you will be selling. Understand though.

He could keep it, but why bother. Get a newer one when you can later on.

My point is why give up? I didn't and it's possible. There are reasons for both sides, but that is beyond the scope of my answer. ;)

It is possible, but its different for everyone. For me it was the change in where the cash flowed, buying housewares, finishing the basement, buying furniture and landscaping around the house. Then the kids came and ate up the rest of the time and money. Once the kids got into high school I found the time to be able to go biking again.

I've been able to do that and have a bike, so I guess I am the exception. I look at it too, what is the cost without it? I would go nuts if I couldn't ride sometime consistently. Sometimes people do it because of other reasons that sometimes is a power struggle because there seems to be a requirement of quid pro quo for giving something up. We all are going to die sometime, but do we really live at all? ;) I had two non-negotiables when I got married: Bikes and personal protection. So far so good.

I hope this wasn't because of the person you married. ;)
