*** Help With Donation for Chuck's Family - UPDATE

Know what you mean unwind2......After hearing about Chuck the other day, the ride home and back to work on my bike gave me an eerie feeling.

I put my boards down this morning when I went for a ride. Paypal sent this morning as well. Thanks for setting up the donation account. It's the least we can do.

Please excuse me everyone,I hate to sound stupid but I have to ask. "Boards Down" is this an expression to show respect for a fellow biker or actually putting boards down and if so what boards? Or maybe it means both?

It's really "pegs down" and it means riding with the passenger pegs down when you are solo. It's a sign that we've lost a fellow rider.

I just said "boards down" as Nomads have boards and not pegs. Anywhere else you will only see the expression "pegs down".

BTW, it's great to see how much we've all chipped in here to help. I'm very proud to be a member of this club on ordinary days, but today I am extremely proud!

Trip,

I am interested in learning about the NC schedule. Texas is too far away but there is a good chance that I can take a day or two off work and travel to North Carolina to pay respects in person.
