Well, I'll be dipped in s--t!!!!

I wish I'd seen this a month ago. Even though I was extremely careful, I managed to nick my rear wheel with the tire irons.

There is another link for that. Basically, they used a hacksaw or sawzall with a 32-tooth blade.

I went and bought a Harbour Freight tire changer last season, I wish I had known about this sooner myself. I have the straps already, so next tire change Im going to give this a try.

Awesome.

I have the harbor freight set-up and I've just about gotten to the point of getting the wheel off and letting a dealer do the hard work. I will try this the next time.

I'm having a hard time imagining our bigger tires easily doing this. But, I'll try (just about) anything once.

Thanks for the post Ringadingh. I am definitely going to give it a try. I scratched my rim pretty good when my tire tool slipped last time.
