Am I missing something?

Ok was going over the Nomad today and noticed something curious. On the lower left side just infront of the "goatbelly" there are two bolt holes with nothing there. It seems curious that there would be two empty bolt holes, so my question is am I missing something?

The Meanstreak and the Nomad are both built on the same platform. The bolt holes you have noticed are where the rectifier assembly for the Meanstreak is attached.

On the Nomad, the rectifiers are mounted directly under the radiator.

Bob, how do you know that? Not being disrespectful mind you, just curious because that is something probably 99% of us have no clue about.

Ron, when I was shopping for a bike back in 2006 I actually was considering the Meanstreak for a while. Didn't take long to figure out that by the time I added all the stuff I wanted onto the Meanstreak I would have paid more than the Nomad cost. Anyway, I noticed at that time that the rectifier assembly on the Meanstreak was mounted down there. The Nomad had it up front under the radiator because of the goat belly and exhaust pipe on the left side.

However, since that was almost three years ago and I don't trust my memory as much as I used to (darn aging! :( ) I went to the parts diagrams on the Kawasaki web site and checked it out on both bikes.
