Best touring pack
I am looking into acquiring a touring pack for my Nomad, not sure what works with the monster OEM pillion backrest pad, though. Either one that can sit on the pillion seat or a luggage rack (I assume one would work either way, just turn it around?). What products are others using? What's the best source? Thx!

I'm VERY satisified with my Saddlemen Saddlestow™- Drifter...$188 from Cruiser Customizing. It's huge when fully expanded. It also has 2 big pockets that zip off, and comes with a roll bag too. My wife and I use it quite often. It has 4 vercro straps that wrap around the Backrest and a pair of straps that go around the passenger grab bars. You can see it on my signature pic.

I got this sissy bar bag combo and really like it.
http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup...F-3901B458A5BE I rode to the west coast and back with it through all kinds of weather. Goes on and off very easily. I can use both if I want the capacity or just use the roll bag on my rear rack. I often carry the roll bag in one of my saddle bags just in case I see something I want to buy and need the extra capacity. Great product at a great price.

I have the Tour Master that I bought from the Kawi dealer. Made sure it would fit over the sissy bar pad before I bought it. Has a rain fly in the main bag and a water proof bag that you can fit over the entire thing in case of rain. Also has a rubber pad on the bottom of the bag to protect the seat or luggage rack. Only thing I don't like is the velcro closure for the roll bag is not tenacious enough to keep the bag closed. I wrap a strap around it to solve that problem. Bag is self supporting and keeps its shape. I like it.

I use a T-Bag. Very well made. Here is a web site I found that seems to have the best prices.

I'm looking for a bag that can be mounted on the passenger seat and double duty as a backrest. They have a built in backrest bad. I've seen them, I've just forgot who make them.

You're right GH. I was asking about the driver's backrest of which I figured out later is a Utopia. Thanks.

I have a Tour Master that I bought from a member here who was selling his bike. Don't know what it is called. You can see it in one of my sig pics. I like to mount it on the passenger seat, it is much more secure. I use 3 bungie chords to hold it on. The straps that came with it do not work as well.
