Winter Riding

During the winter, we all wish we could be riding. Trips are planned for the summer and we generally write messages with the same ol' lament, "I wish........."

Riding your Nomad in the winter can be fun too! As long as the roads are dry and there is no ice, making a run to the restaurant to have biscuits and gravy on a cold morning can be a great experience. You just have to prepare and use the right equipment to keep warm.

I think I rode during every month last year except for December. Some of the rides were in the mid-30's.

Let's plan a "blue-butt" ride somewhere this winter. Does anyone have suggestions? (be nice)

With the heat I get off my engine now... I'll be able to ride year-round!!

Oh... yeah... I forgot... engine heat and summer sun?!!!

Scratch that... maybe I'll be riding ONLY in the winter months!!

(PS: BnG; the title of "Region Leader Staff; Assistant Regional Leader" with six-stars looks pretty "snappy"!!!)

Boy... the love just never stops around here in the good ole' NCR.

Look at it this way... if I trailer my "former Nomad" up to the Rally; I could fill the trailer with beer and ice.

That's the good news... the bad news is that it is still going to be Blatz; with maybe some Stag thrown-in for good measure!

How do you like my trailer now OP?

I never put my bike away, not really. I just make sure I have a full tank of gas and run it every 2-3 weeks. If you have something in mind... I know the American Legion in Redfield put on a good breakfast every saturday. For $6 you can have the whole menu.

Can I just trailer my bike there and watch?

I would die from exposure before I got there -- I swear!!

But, BnG don't temp me... I just may ride it there to do this!
However; I can just about assure you that Kendra will NOT be riding... she'll just have to ride along with Donna in the heated car. ;)

Awwww you guys! It won't be so bad once you thaw out and after your fingers that froze and fell off get all healed up!

Seriously though, we'll plan something like that. We'll go down and meet Ponch for biscuitsngravy. Maybe we can meet up in eastern Iowa and head west. We can plan more when the air gets "crispy." BnG
