Question vaquero exhaust

Looking to change exhaust on the 2013 vaquero. Im stuck between FP true duals and VNH slips. cost vs sound is my biggest issue. Just looking for personal choice and why...thank you in advance for responses and sorry if has already been discussed

Thumbs Up

I love my new V&H slip ons. Took about 45 mins. To install. I had a cosmetically defective muffler that I noticed about 3 days after I installed them. They sent me a new one within a week after I sent pics. I have only heard sound clips of the FP which sound and look awesome. I just did not feel like dropping 800 bucks.

The V&H s/ons can't be beat for price, ease of installation and power produced with a decent sound.

The F/P True Duals have that look, make decent power and have a sound, man-oh-man a sound absolutely UNMATCHED by anything I have heard. Makes the 1700 sound like it should, a big bore V-Twin.

If you go the route of a 2-1, stay away from the V&H 2-1 (I am saying this even tho that's what I have on my skoot). The preferable choice would be the F/P 2-1, a few key advantages over the V&H 2-1.

I had the Cobra Tri Ovals on my Voyager and now have the Freedom True Duals. The Cobra have a look to them but the sound was kinda Blaty to me, but like Ray said the Freedom Sound is unmatched, have friends with the V&H and they are ok but do not touch the Freedom sound. plus you can get the Freedom in black if that is what you like.
So my vote is for Freedom.....

The black FP true duals with chrome tips look awesome on my orange Vaq and the sound is better than anything else I have heard. Very pleased with them.

I have the Vance and Hines slip ons. They give the bike a deeper sound but not louder.

I had the V&H 2 into 1. It looked great! and had killer sound but was vary loud
bad enough that most of my friends didn't like riding behind me
After seeing and hearing Jay Stephens setup I decided to copy it
Got a set of Yoshimura Carbon fiber slip-ons for a hyabusa off ebay and mounted them on the original pipes.
They have a vary unique sound,, and I can hear my stereo again
