The disclaimer is interesting too. Guess the original inventor should have used it and avoided the law suit.

These are great throttle locks. I still have one on my bike, even though I have an electronic cruise control. I use it to hold the engine at high idle to adjust the fuel processor.

These are really simple and they look a lot better than the Vista Cruise, in my opinion. I'm glad to see someone is making them again.

I used to use a large O ring as a throttle lock, and it worked really well until I lost it one day on the highway.
I like to tinker with stuff so one day if Im in the mood I may try to make one myself, it looks simple enough.

Yeah, stuff like that Rich.
There was a story the other day about a guy who says his gas petal stuck in his Prius. Instead of putting the car in neutral or turning of the ignition he calls 911 while accelerating down the highway. Help, my car is going 94 mph and it won't stop. What a dufus!

Isnt it harder to dial a cell phone at 90+ mph then shift into neutral?

I think so. The guy said he was afraid the car would flip, which is why he didn't shift into neutral. Wow, talk about thinking on your feet! I'd be embarrassed to be a member of that guys family.

Neutral, yes no brainier. Shutting off the engine and losing power steering while trying to dodge cars at 94 mph, I'd use that as a last resort.
Anyway it is beginning to look like a hoax.

To get this back on track, I have looked closely at this throttle lock system and seems like it would be really hard to reach for me, am i the only one thinking this

This is what I have on my bike and I LOVE it. It's the same idea and would be very simple to make at home.

Utah did you have to tap the bottom hole like I think it says for metrics or is it just a bolt up for the 1600?? I currently have the flip-a-lever but like the looks of this one better. :-)

I did have to tap it just a tiny bit larger.
