Thanks for the B-Day wishes. I know you guys know that I was in a m/c accident and after that I decided not to ride again. But, as the saying goes, time heals everything. In the last month or so I've given it a lot of thought and decided to go for it again. I seriously considered another Nomad. I really liked my '09, but I wanted something that put me closer to the ground. A 30" inseam just isn't quite enough to keep my feet flat on the Nomad.
Last week I bought an '08 Softail Heritage Classic. It has just about everything that I wanted for a bike and it sits a lot lower. I'll keep logging on to this site from time to time, and if I see that you're having a NorthEast Rally that's fairly close to to me, I'll drop over around dinner time so that I can man the grill for you :) Hope to see you all again on the road. Remember to keep your head on a swivel especially at intersections... John (Merri1) |

Thats great John, congratulations on the new bike. Im sure youll enjoy it. You will definately have to meet up with us in the NE again, its always great to have your company and a good man on the BBQ.
 You could always join us at the national rally in Maggie Valley, that would be a good ride for you on your new bike. ;)
