***KawaNOW 2009 National Rally Announced***

The KawaNOW Staff and I have been kicking around and discussing ideas for a National Rally in 2009 for over a month now.

Here is what we've decided:
  • The KawaNOW National Rally will be held September 1, 2, 3, 2009 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) with Custer, South Dakota as the base.[/*:m:by6qkcc6]
  • The itinerary will consist of planned rides for all three days in the Black Hills with a get-together, finale meal on Thursday night.[/*:m:by6qkcc6]
  • We will hold regional meetings in the Spring of one year and hold a national rally in the fall of the next year and rotate. [/*:m:by6qkcc6]
  • We will hold the 2009 national rally in SD, then hold the national rally in 2011 at a location closer to the Eastern part of the US.[/*:m:by6qkcc6]

So, let's all start making plans to attend the 2009 KawaNOW National Rally in Custer, South Dakota!

Thanks,
Trip

For anyone that hasn't ever been to the Black Hills, it's great place to ride. One of my favorite of the states I've been through.

Here's a few links if you've never been there.

Here's a general info page with links
http://www.blackhillstouristinfo.com/

This link will give you a good feel of what the black hills are like

This link shows just a little bit of some of the rides

Nicely done. Great location and good concept to alternate the rallies.

***KawaNOW 2009 National Rally Announced***

Finally, a get together that will justify my vacation. I was raised in Rapid City. It is a good time of the year. For the most part the heat is off and the cold hasn't set in yet. On the plus side most of the tourists are gone. Actually, I am planning on wandering through there for a bit in September this year just to see some family and show off the new bike.

Trip, I'll send a PM in the next couple of days with some of the interesting areas I have sent people to over the years for your consideration.

CJ, it's only 1,200 from here. If you take the scenic route, you don't even think about the miles. I'll send a couple of options for you to consider in your planning. If you have to do it in a hurry, I'll send the more boring route, too.
