Stopped at a light and noticed smoke coming up. Back to the dealer. They had to reseal the tranny.

Lost the front brake. Bad master cylinder. Back to the dealer.

Started noticing a slight wobble from the front while in a turn, Back to the dealer. They replaced the front tire with
an updated version. Seems when Dunlap created the D407 for the 09 frame, they manufactured the tire with the tread backwards. HD
did not put out a recall but they put out a service bulletin instructing their dealers to replace under warranty if anyone complained of the wobble.

Recall to flash the ABS eprom, Back to the dealer. L

Recall to update the gas tank mounting. Back to the dealer.

Recall to replace rear brake light switch. Back to the dealer. Left the dealer, got a block away when the ABS light came on. Back to the dealer.
The idiots forgot to flush the system.

One day I noticed the front fender had a dent where it hit the triple tree. Back to the dealer. HD agreed to replace under warranty. HD acknowledged to the dealer that under the right conditions the forks can compress enough to where the fender will hit the triple tree. The replacement fender that HD sent had an extra hole punched in the left side. HD would not let the dealer replace it even though the dealer agreed that it was an mis-punched hole. I called HD customer service and explained that it was mis-punched. The "rep" I talked to keep telling me that the hole was for the fender lights. I tried to explain to him that there was already a hole for that wire and that this fender was obviously double stamped. I told him and the dealer that I'd see them in Small Claims. 2 days later
HD agreed to replace it.
Sure you ain't rideing her too hard? You cain't be stomping the thing into the next gear. The poor things can only take so much you know. Jussa suggestion.

See what I mean? I didn't have to say a thing.

Dave sorry to hear how much trouble your having. If the list gets much longer, there will be more things repaired and less things likely to go wrong.

What really makes me mad is everyone else that I know have had no problems with theirs.

Eventually I'll move on to something else. If I were to do it now, my choice would be:
1: Goldwing. I had a 98 GL1500 and loved it.
2: It's a toss up between K1600GTL, Victory CC or Vision.

My problem is riding a bike with pegs because I lost my lower leg. It's almost impossible to operate the rear brake on bikes with pegs. I haven't tried to ride the BMW yet but on my Goldwing, I could hardly put much pressure on the rear brake pedal. That's why I bought the Nomad with the floor boards.

But I missed having all the bells and whistles. I was disappointed with the Voyager and the Victory CC was not out yet so I went with the Ultra.
