Tim. I used to be a "brand" loyal type. Not anymore. When I hear some say, "I'd rather push my Harley than ride a Honda" I realize how lame that sounds. I did want that Road Glide Ultra but there is just not enough room on it. Same with the Voyager.

I go with whatever is being talked about as one of the best machines out there and then research research research then test ride. Like the Gold Wing. I just didn't fall in love with the riding position. More of a "sport bike" position.

Come down off that Victory for a second and talk to us.

Undertaking the risk, of appearing crass, I may be the only member holding this opinion, but I am under the impression that your modus operandi is to delve into a situation, or conversation, if you will, with the belief that you, and only you have all the answers, and you're subject to mock those with answers contrary to yours. My question is, is this a charade for the Victory folks pretending you're open-minded, and desire answers untill you get in?

The K1200LT has a sportbike riding position?

Oh, that hatefulness anchor plunges (I look good in Jumper Jammies, thank you very much) even deeper to dark depths of insolence, and depravity . I self banished myself from "Man Laws" because of it repugnant views of viewing women as servants of, and object of mans enjoyment.

The cute bear was an illusion attempt to coax you down of you high horse. Had it been me (the real deal) youdah popped that clutch and hauled ass.

Tai Nee six ft' aditude, Saki swirling, fist of fury, rice eating, crouching tiger, hidden fire-breathing dragon spawn of hell, master of monkey style kung fu, mushroom cloud laying mthrfkr mthfkr.

But you can call me Tai. I'll answer to anything.

Victory makes a very well engineered bike. My buddy bought a Vegas and loves it. It has great power, sounds awesome and handles well. I just don't really like the "futuristic" look of the bikes. I have always loved the Nomad because of its classic cruiser styling. I really love the looks of the Road King Classic, but can't afford the high price tag and wasn't comfortable with the shorter reach to floorboards (I'm 6-04). I really liked the Vegas V92 series bikes, but wanted a bagger. The V92TC had oddly shaped bags and an awkward crossover tube on the exhaust, but most importantly they are hard to find and expensive compared to the Nomad.

I'm sure you will love your new bike. Victory is a really well thought out manufacturer and their bikes make sense. If you like the looks, its damn near a perfect bike!!!

I agree with what you say. The styling leaves me flat, but I know it's a good bike. May be the Victory Indians will look better.

That's purely seat height. The LT is 31" and for instance, my RT is 32" in the high position. I think the nomad is 28" That's quite a bit for some. BMW does make low suspension bikes as well as low seats for some models. Just saying.
