West Virginia Weekend Bike Trip

Here I go again.....
I disappear for a while then come back and bombard you all at once!!!!!

I thought I would share a recent biking trip hubby and I made. We went from our home in Southern Maryland to Charleston, West Virginia. Then we made it to Bridge Day for the New River Gorge Bridge.

We took the long way (10 1/2 hours) to Charleston, but rode through the Blue Ridge Mountains. Those were some of the prettiest roads and most beautiful scenic views I have ever seen in my life!!!! I can't wait to make that trip again some day real soon!

Of course the hubby's Nomad and my little 900 rode like champs up and down those mountains!!!! I did learn the REAL difference between the Nad and the 900 on the uphill roads....poor 900 was left behind MANY times and I had to remind hubby I wasn't riding a 1600 like he was!!! ::)

Thought I'd share a few pictures if you don't mind!!!

A stop at Seneca Rocks

That's a great area to ride. The Eastern Rally was in Elkins, WV.

We had a great time in that area in June. Seneca Rocks was one of our stops on Saturday's ride. You're right, the roads are LOTS of fun to ride!!

Looks like you two had fun. Great roads and good companionship.

Awesome pics! My eyes almost bugged out at the similarities. I ride a Nomad, Ann rides a 900 identical to yours! She saw the post and said, 'How cool is that?!". If your hubby's bike was green & silver instead of red & silver, I'd call it uncanny!

Thanks for sharing!
