Do you just drill a hole big enough for the wiring to slide into the saddle bag?
Yes.
You drill a hole behind the light of course and pass the wires into the saddlebag then drill a hole on the inside of the bag near the top but out of sight when bag is mounted.
Now pass the wires from your trailer connectors from the outside of the bag into the bag.
Splice your wires together and this way you can remove the bags for cleaning etc. by unplugging them.
I just used duct tape to secure the wires to the inside of the bags so they would not be in my way.
If no one else posts a pic I will do it later.

Thanks TC, can you also post pics of the connectors please? The lights are only $40, not sure about the wiring yet...

I would like to hear where you hid the quick disconnect connecters so they're out of sight but easily accessible.

Dave, first pic is 4 prong trailer connector from Walmart.
I only needed 3 prongs for my lights.

Second pic is how the wiring lays between bags and chrome spacer so it is pretty much out of sight.
I used some cable shrouding plastic to hide the wires somewhat.

Third pic is wires coming in from light on back of bag.

Last pic is where I ran the wires from Connector into bag from backside of bag.

Thanks TC. That is great. I was picturing a much bigger hole. I have a better idea now on how to do it, Thanks for all your help! It looks very clean and neat the way you ran it, not to mention functional. So there will be actually 2 trailer connectors right, one for each side?

Top Cat's photo's are right on ...I used "fender washers" inside the bags just to spread the "loading" on the fiberglass..

I have an appointment with my AAA Bike insur. agent in a few minutes..but will try to post some photo's of my wireing set-up later this evening !

Yup, one for each side.
I think what I bought were called trailer wire extenders.
They came one piece with female connection on one end and male on the other.
I bought two and cut them in half and spliced my wire from the tail lights to one and spliced the other to the feeding wires from the bike.
Do you get what I mean by that. It doesn't sound like I explained that very well

Yes but the pics help. You know I no wrench but I guess what I don't get is there are 2 wires from the light but you have them connected to a 4 wore pin? Are the other 2 just cut off and taped? And under the seat you must have the 2 for the left side and the 2 for the right side spliced into the tail light wiring ...?

Dave, if you look at pic #1 you will see the yellow wire has been cut off.
There are actually 3 wires coming from the light. Red Yellow and Black.
One goes to running light, one goes to brake light and one goes to ground. All were connected into the wires under the seat.
So I have 3 wires from each side running up to and under the seat.
The 2 running light wires are spliced together and become one wire.
The same for the brake wires and ground wires. Then each single wire is spliced to the correct wire under the seat.

Dave , get an ice pick testing light from Walmart, they are like $5 or less and very very handy to have.

I had the damn thing in my hand about half hour ago and set it down. No idea why. I stopped to look at their wiring connectors. I will pick one up this weekend if not tonight.
