Yes Norm, they need to be wearing a helmet, a real helmet not those Tupperware things, and no alcohol till riding is done for the day. If I think of anything else I'll get back to ya

Geez, lighten up, I'm just trying to help the guy out.
Skulls are one thing but those paticular skulls look like crap.
I have opinions, sometimes others don't agree with them but that is not going to stop me from posting them.

I used sockets at each bolt for a spacer

Adding the speakers. Also to each their own. I like the speakers even though I am not big into skulls or having them on my bike I though they were unique and the eyes pulsate to the beat of the music

Here is a link to a short video of the bike with the trunk installed on Youtube

thank you everyone for all the feedback, positve and negative.
I attached a pic of the finished product with a custom lower back rest I made with extra thick padding for lumbar support as my girlfriend has lower back problems, I want to offer her as much comfort as I can.
Only thing that remains for it is some carpet lining and matching pin striping to the tank

Wow, I remember when I gave some negative comments once. I know I have received some as well but if everyone agreed all the time this wouldnt be a forum it would be a love in with everyone having the same bike and it would be boring. I also like that we can talk about things other than our bikes and still agree to disagree. I applaud Tim for his honesty and not just hitting the proverbial "like" button. I dont like the skulls either but I love that he did his own work and made the bike his own. I admire his skill since i have absolutely none! Ok I am off my soapbox now!

I'm curious, how did you attach the trunk to the lugage rack. A picture or two would be great if you get the time.

I used the brackets that came with the trunk as well as a couple of washers with sockets as spacers for where the sissy bar was.
I attached some pic's

I like it, looks good. One question, how does the passenger like it compared to just a regular backrest, have they said?

She has not had a chance to go for a ride on it yet with the new backrest. She has 3 children 5,9,11 and works full time as do I. She get very few chances to go riding with me. I wish different but what can you do.

I know what that's like, the missus hardly ever rode with me, up until a couple of years ago when we could finally trust the kids not to burn down the house

If you would though, when you finally do get the chance to take her for a ride, see what she thinks. If it is an improvement I may just take this mod on myself.
