Passenger grab bars 2007-1600

I just put on a new rack and trip trunk. My problem is that my wife got used to having a place to hold on to with the old back rest whitch had a nice big place to grip the sides . Now she would like to have the same thing and I cannot find anyone who makes the bars for on the side on the rack right above the saddle bags. Does any one have any information on where I could order some thing like this. Thanks

Are you talking about the rails that the stock backrest mounts to?
I built a rack to mount a trunk that bolts in where the stock backrest was so that I could keep those rails. I don't have any photos of it mounted on the bike but I believe MasterMac has a similar setup and he has photos of his mounted.

Swap meet! Got a rail off of the older Harley FLH models 2000 ish- paid $20 for it, very minor modifications and it fits right under the seat. Just a thought.

These are pics of the rack I built and had chromed. It worked out well and is very sturdy. I have a piece of 3/16 alluminum that covers the entire bottom of the trunk that sandwiches the trunk bottom. That makes for less stress at the fastener points.

This is the rack I welded together then I had it powered coated black.
