Newbie to the Vulcan Nomad in SC
Hello All,
Just picked up my first cruiser in a very long time, a 2009 Vulcan Nomad 1700. I've been riding the sport touring style bikes for probably 20 years and thought it was a good time for a change, more laid back enjoy the road view instead of speed enjoy the curves view. My better half thinks it was a very good move, a lot more comfort for her. The previous bikes range from Kawasaki Concours ZG1000's, Honda ST1100's, Honda ST1300's, BMW R1100RS, Triumph Thunderbird Sport (really loved that bike), Suzuki VStrom DL1000 (liked this one too) to name a few. I have now had the Nomad for about a month and it is taking me a little adjusting to get used to the feet forward riding versus the feet under me style but it's getting there. Other than that, I'm enjoying it. Well, look forward to putting more miles and making the bike personally mine. I'll more than likely be asking questions so hopefully my searches for answers on this forum from previous posters will be found without bugging you guys too much. Thanks everyone, I'm sure I'll have questions and look forward to getting more familiar with the bike. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I do attempt to do as much of the work on the machine as I possibly can.
