Tire mileage on 1700 Voyager

I am sure there are threads about this, but I haven't been able to find it, so here goes. What can I expect for tire mileage from OEM tires with proper maintenance on 1700 Voyager?

I'd say it depends greatly on your riding style and road conditions.

Old man riding....6500 rear 12500 front. Put ct on back now have 6000 on it and over 2/3s of the tire left. Now putting commander II on front.

Most have been getting between 6-8 on a set - I got 6 and replaced front and rear with Michellin Commander II's Have 13 on them now and looking to get at least another 6 . . .

Thank you, are the Michelin tires the same size?

The Michelin rear is a 180-65-16 which is slightly different than the Bridgestone and it fits just fine. The front is the same size I believe.

Michelin Commander II's are reasonably priced (in Canada) and give good mileage and handling.

Everyone seems to love the Michelin Commander IIs. On my second set of Bridgestone and looking at getting 8-9k on rear. Maybe 11k on front. Will be switching to Michelins once these are done. Haven't found many negative reviews and mileage far surpasses other mc tires.

I got 7400 miles on my stock rear tire-seems to be pretty typical on the Voyager and Vaquero. I now have a little over 19,000 on the rear Michelin Commander II, just about ready to swap on a new one. Oddly enough, the front stock tire got 19,300 miles before it wore out-got a Commander II on the front now too.

I've got about 12,000 km on my Michelin's and as of yet haven't notice any significant wear on them, much impressed compared to the 9500 km from the stock tires

Wolfman46, I was only able to get 7,000 miles and slicker than a bald head. Now my bike was a left over 2010 Voyager I bought in 2012. I didn't check the pressure for a while until I started seeing a strange tire wear. I would have thought the shop while preparing the delivery would have checked. I have went with the Michelin Commander IIs now with over 4,000 miles still looks new. Never again for ME a Bridgestone tire.

Did you notice and difference in speedo accuracy?

Nope - Its still not accurate . . . I say it reads about 10% too high because that makes th math simple when I'm rolling down the road . . . When I run my GPS it says it may be only about 5 mph off.

Was at the wear bars on my stock rear at 6,300 miles. Put a Commander II on and have about 900 miles on it now. My front still has 3-4 32s" of tread depth. Most always 2up when riding, and dont run it too hard. 2012 Voyager.

4600 on the stock rear tire, 5300 on the second. I put on the CommanderII's and have 8000 miles on them with plenty left.
