Going up is a blast, down is a whole different story. That road doesn't know "clear pavement".

Just when I thought I had my route and gas stops set, I'm now thinking that I just might take 36 to the south out of Susanville to Hwy 101 instead of 44/299. Google Maps says it's only 20 miles further and 25 minutes longer to Crescent City and looks allot more interesting although riding two up and loaded down, some of the experience will be inhibited.
Revised the itinerary. We're taking Hwy 36. Will watch for HDs on the side of the road. :)

We are at the rally, not potential anymore.
Nice to meet all of the good folks.
Not so nice to pull a muscle in my back (re-injury) and sit out the first ride. . .
We will find a massage place that takes walk-ins and get fixed up for the next ones.
