engine guard chaps

I'm looking at engine guard chaps to extend the riding season this year.

The AirLite chaps have caught my eye. Does anyone have them on their bike? What are your impressions? Did you get them with pockets or without? How do they stay on by just stretching over the bar?

I had a set of those on my Nomad for all five years that I owned it. They were great! Get the ones with the pockets....you can always use more space. I filled one side with foam ear plugs and misc stuff in the other. They fit over the bars and there are a couple velcro strips on the right side that hold it all together. They work great with larger lowers to eliminate most all of the Nomad buffeting. Also get the ones with the holes for the highway pegs. I left mine all year around ....I'll bet you do too once you see how well they work. Two thumbs up....!

PS...I cut the mesh piece out that covered the radiator....but to each their own....

I have them on my 2004. They fit well and mine are without the pockets. They slip over the crash bars and velcro does all the rest. Love them, keeps my feet dry when it rains and keeps them comfy when the weather gets cooler. Great investment IMHO.

I use them all winter. They work great. Once it gets 80+ I usually take them off. No pockets. Fit tight. Work great for cold or wet driving.

Me too! They're reasonably priced. Easy, easy off. They hold up very well and are durable.

If you are going to get engine guard chaps, Airlite are the best IMHO.
I had them on my Nomad and my Drifter, on and off in about a minute.
