Dan and the fem cop, Pt. 2?

Supposing our two main characters met up again under these circumstances.

Failure to signal a lane change? Illegal scuffing of a public motorway? Running in the wrong direction?

Wow, what timing! Just a second later, and he could have put it right into the cops door.

That was all a matter of, "Holy sh*t, a cop!" and locking up either the front of rear brake. I'm betting the front.

How embarrassing.

That's what I thought too. He saw the cop and tried to slow down too fast. I bet he really felt dumb.

I'm betting the guy got a ticket for failure to have vehicle under control, but then again there could, or should, be an endangerment issue.

It did appear that about the time he spotted the cop he gripped the brake a tad hard and he just lost control.

If you make the video full screen view, and pause it before he goes nuts, there is not skid mark, and pause it after he's going across the center line, and there is a skid mark right behind his trajectory.

He needs to recalibrate his, "Holy sh*t there's a cop" braking technique. :)

By time he saw the cop, wasn't it far to late to try to slow down? Should have just kept his line and his focus. (Not that I am advocating speeding).

How about "disturbing a law officer's peace"? ;)

In the slow motion clip it does look more like he got a handfull of front brake. Life's embarrasing moments.

Should have just kept going. The cop was pointing the wrong direction and would have had a hard time keeping up. It's didn't look like he was going all that fast either. Might not have even gotten a ticket.

Aw, c'mon...look at the dismount. His speed couldn't have been THAT fast!!

I'm not positive but that looks like a section of roadway in Cali that they have constant issues with the racers tearin up/down (Muholland dr?). Here's my take on the police....if you see them, they already got you. stay reasonable and they may not bother with you 'cuz within 5 minutes they'll get the a$$hat flying up on you.

Cops have radios, you can't outrun 'em. He was going too fast and panic set in when he spotted the cop.
