Those 10mph switchbacks really aren't much fun. Thankfully there aren't too many of them. After that, it was pretty nice.
I'll have to try that stretch of 123 another time. It looks good too! Unfortunately with 450 miles to get home Sunday, and work Monday morning, I'll likely just blast back on the interstate.

Short ride today only about 50 miles till storms chased us back to the motel. Still had fun visiting with the Bill and Cheryl, Scott and Jude, Brik and Karen and David and Lynn. Dave and Crystal arrived around 5:30 - paddles in hand. Damn its wet around here.

Tomorrow looks dry. I believe most of the group will take the loop Dave planned tomorrow morning. I will probably head north early and try to add in a few curvy roads along the way back home.

Really enjoyed the comradirie. Great to see old friends and make a couple of new ones.

Besides my wife there are 3 great things in my life. Friends, food and motorcycle riding. Well this weekend we had two out of three and riding wasn't one of them. We managed to still have fun. It was a great time with good people. I'm sure I'll see you all in Antlers and Scott I'll see you in Eureka Springs.

Made it home a little before 5:00. right at 450 miles today. Rode up 7, skirted around Hot Springs, then 7 to 64 West to 21 North to 412 and west to 540 and on home. Good to see everyone. Really looking forward to the national now!

Crystal and I rode the first part of todays ride with Scott, Jude, Bill and Cheryl.
We took AR 7 north thru Hot Springs. Hwy 7 from Jessieville to Ola is some of Arkansas best riding.
We stopped at Ola for fuel. Crystal and I headed west to the house from there
and they headed back to Caddo Valley via Mt. Ida. Good to see everyone again.
And nice to meet a couple of SC folks I hadn't met before.
Like Glenn, it makes me ready to go to Colorado.
Thanks to Bill and Scott for getting this together.

Glenn, looking forward to seeing you and Ann in Estes Park.
We'll see the rest of you Antlers.

Great to see so many turned out for what was a wet Saturday. Clearly Budman and Crystal are not sissies, they rode in to Caddo Valley Saturday while buckets of rain were coming down.

Everyone is gone now, except for Scott, Jude, Cheryl and me. Today we rode 250 miles of some of Arkansas finest roads. We plan to ride more tomorrow and then leave Tuesday.

Glad we all were not sissies and stuck with the plan. The rest of the SouthCentral group will be hearing about the fun and good riding they missed.

It was fun, we enjoyed ourselves and we had some memorable riding. Our thanks to Bill and Scott for organizing and getting us together. The Mrs. and I enjoyed seeing old friends and making some new ones. Framer it was nice to meet you and your wife. I hope everything is okay at home when you return. We hustled home in just over eight hours; riding the 500 miles, just stopping to get fuel so we could make our daughter's graduation.

Glad you posted Brik, we were hoping all went smooth for the graduation. Good to see you and Karen again. So glad you made it.

BTW, I like the new Harley and that may be my next bike. Especially if Karen doesn't quit bragging about the rear seat. lol

We had a good time. We hope it doesn't take a year to see some of our form friends again. Bill your right, the Mrs. is a big fan of the pillion on the FLHTCU. I think Dave and Crystal should get some kind of South Central boating award because they didn't ride; they power boated to Caddo Valley.

It was good meeting you too Brik and your wife Karen. Every time a meet VBA member I seem to learn something. I did what you suggested and went to wal-mart and bought a filter and T6 oil. So now I have fresh oil and the bike ready for Eureka Springs tomorrow. Hope to see you and your wife in Antler. When we were heading home my wife informed me she going to Antler's with me.

Gee whiz, David B. , if your wife enjoyed the rain trip, she is hooked and definitely one of us.

Brik is one smart fellow, even if he has switched to a bike with more initials than I can keep up with.

See you in Antlers, if not before.

Framer have a good time in Eureka Springs; I'm envious. I hope the T6 will serve you well. I have favorable responses from other friends that have it in their bikes and I liked in my Nomads. I believe the engine ran cooler and shifted better. The improved shifting remained through to the next oil change. Ride Safe.
