My honey's birthday present

My girlfriend's Yami's saddlebags were small and worn. We've been looking at replacements for a while. I liked the idea of hardbags and she liked these. It's her birthday so guess what she got?

It's a definite improvement. She doesn't know I ordered them and I just got em mounted. Hope she likes em.

Old ones were throw overs.

Replacements are still a soft bag but with solid mounts. They follow the fender lines which is the part she liked about em.

Old ones pipe side angle.

New ones pipe side angle.

Last one. It's like a little Niponese roadking now.

Not really. They've got a little turnbuckle thing you could slip a lock through, but easily defeatable. We had talked to a guy that had a set and he padlocked the bag once. Someone came along and figured since it was locked there must be something of value. Cut, ripped, tore the lock hasp off and the bag didn't have anything in it. Screwed up the bag for no good reason. Anything that we really need to keep safe we'll put in one of my bags. The Yammi's bags will be used for clothes on overnight jaunts primarily and we won't even try to lock it for the above reason. We take everything into the room when we're done for the day so security wasn't a big concern.

Thanks. They do fit pretty nicely and weren't too bad to install.

We've probaby got a couple more rides before it gets too hot. It's supposed to be 105 this weekend so getting a bit warm for riding.

Have to kinda pick your weekends and head north before the heat hits. Even then it's not real pleasant.

I'm not a big fan of soft or leather look bags, but those look really good on that bike. Hope she likes them.

Very nice! They look great on the bike. I like the way the bags follow the fender line.

They have that Hard/soft look to them. Are those the "leatherlike" brand? Is that a lock I see on the side?

I don't think they are the leatherlyke brand. They look like saddlemen to me.

They're the Viking Brand. They've got a formed hard shell/liner and it's shaped so they don't collapse. Also had to drill through the bag and liner when you figure out where you want them, then there's a frame that attaches to hold them in place. The thing you see on the side is a badge. The lock hasp is at the rear of the bag. The webpage doesn't snow the badge and I might remove it. It does look like it'll leave a small hole however.

If you remove the badge put a small red reflector there in it's place.
