21" front wheel on voyager?

How bout it...has anyone done it. I'm considering it. Love it on Vaquero. Want it on the voyager. My dealer thinks it will work out. Love the way it raises the front of the vaquero. The vaquero I saw was also lowered inthe back about 2 inches. How do you think this will be on the voyager? Any input?

Does the Voyager and the Vaquero use the same front fender ? Will the 21 inch wheel be too close to the Voyager fender ?

Roaring toys makes a 21" and fender kit for the Vaq. I'm sure it would work on the Voyager. There are a couple difference kits on Ebay too.

I personally think it looks best on a bagger without a trunk.

Kit has adapter to make the stock fender work.

Thanks Jared. I haven't seen the kits on eBay. The kit my dealer used on vaquero will also work on voyager. Can keep fender and rotor. With a lot of kits you have to buy rotors.

i would think as long as you don't intend to tour on your touring bike it would be okay.most concerning would be lowering the backend by two inches if that is what
you are thinking.

The 21 inch wheel will have a larger circumference than the 16, so it will turn much slower than the rear wheel, this may disable the ABS.

I havent done it on my vaquero but DO plan on doing it in the future. How much is your dealer wanting to charge you for the kit? You can get them from roaring toys on ebay for about $1,800

There's no ABS on a US Vaquero.

Have done more research on this issue. The 21" can be installed and then the front forks would be slipped to restore the original stance. I still would put the lowering shocks on the bike. Rode a vaquero this was done to and it is awesome. The look is fantastic. Swallows up the room between the wheel and handle bars. Not sure about doing it because it will definitely effect the ride. It's is a touring bike. Don't want to mess that up. If it was a vaquero I would definitely do it.

Ah, crap...got mixed up. Yes, a larger wheel may indeed create havoc with the ABS system.

We did not discuss the effects on the abs.
