Amazingly he wasn't injured very much. I came off my snowmobile 2 winters ago at 180 km/hr (about 110mph) after it went airborne, tore my right arm out of the socket and broke off the upper section of the arm bone. Would have been much worse but, like this motorcycle racer, I was wearing proper gear.

My Nomad hauls my fat butt down the road as fast as I care to go. Certainly nothing approaching 170mph. Most of the time I'm doing 75 to 80 and that's it. I'm allergic to pain and I'm a chicken. HA

Here's another one, although not racing, it shows a more common hazard anyone of us could encounter.

What would YOU do in this situation?

There was no place for them to go. They did the best they could by scrubbing as much speed as possible to lessen the impact.

In that second video there isn't too much he could have done other than try to stop like he did. He's lucky another car didn't hit him as he came off the bike.

Uh, that was a female rider.

I'd have beaten the dumb SOB that braked suddenly (probably texting) and turned into me like there was no tomorrow.
