Pull behind trailers

I am seriously thinking of a trailer as opposed to loading my bike up for long trips. I have been looking at both two wheel trailers and one out of Quebec that is a single wheel. Anybody on the forum pull a trailer and can i get some feedback as to handling, fuel economy , as well as tire wear. Any info would be appreciated. Flexible :)

Many of us pull trailers. Your gas mileage drops a little. It drops a lot when pulling a trailer against a 40 MPH headwind . Handling is no different, although it takes a little more oomph to get started from a dead stop and you have to allow more room for stopping. Once you're rolling, you hardly notice it's back there. You also need to be aware of the additional length and width when maneuvering. You get used to it quickly.

I think Dennis picked his up second hand and fixed it up. There are 2 companies making single wheel trailers in Quebec that I know of. I have seen both at the Montreal motorcycle show along with 1/2 a dozen 2 wheel manufactures. I believe there is also a 2 wheel trailer manufacturer near Dennis in Casslemen Ont.
I've probably posted this before, but here is a 2 wheel and 1 wheel manufacture that I liked when I saw them and kept links for.

Yes I picked mine up used and fixed it up a little.
I helped a buddy of mine build one from scratch.

It turned out pretty good. I think he's got about 3-400$ in it.

Flexible, I'm not sure where you are but check with Big sid in Florida. He has or had a new alluminum trailer he was trying to sell at a great bargain.

I have a camper/trailer and me an my wife love it. As mentioned before once you get going you hardly know it's behind you, and it bites your gas mileage. Mine has electric brakes, and according to how I have them programmed they could literally toss you through the windscreen when you stop. I have no stopping issues.
