question about the Mustang seat ??

So I just bought a 13 Vaquero and my wife hates the seat . I don't blame her . So I decided to purchase the Vintage mustang seat with driver backrest and passenger receiver . I thought since I wouldn't use the back rest when my wife's with me she could use it .

Question : Does the driver back rest fit the rear receiver ?? I emailed mustang and they said " no " but the ad said that it does . Can anyone clarify this ?

This is the one I'm looking at ..... http://www.mustangseats.com/Product/...krest-Receiver

If these design engineers had to sit on the rear part of the Vaquero seat while they are doing their daily job, I bet there would be some major design changes real fast.

I do agree , the stock seat looks awesome on the bike but seriously wasn't made for a passenger . Mustang has given me two opposite answers to my question . I could just buy it and if the backrest for the driver doesn't fit the passenger receiver I'll just order it .

I will also check out corbin as well .

IMO the Mustang seat for passenger is worse than OEM and I actually switch when riding two up. I would seriously look at Corbin

Have had both the Mustang and a Corbin on the Green Vaq. Still have the Corbin...
Some two up, mostly solo riding.

Ride safe,
Smokier

Sorry, I should have added: The Corbin backrest does move from driver to passenger.
Note: It is too short to be of use as a drivers backrest for me, does not come far enough forward. That MAY be the backrest I have and not a sign of all Corbin back rests. I have the oval...
The Mustang did NOT have a plug on the drivers seat for a back rest. It did have the passenger plug.

you should clarify that you are talking about the stock Voyager seat, not the Vaquero......... the Mustang seat is vastly superior to the stock "Vaquero" seat..... my wife made the Wisconsin trip on it, 730 miles one way....
