Won't down shift

This may have come up before but not sure. I have a 2005 Nomad with 10,500 mile on it. Oil changed every 3,000 mile and has had all its services.
Just started lately I down shift and it won't down shift feels like it is in neutral and I have to stop and play with the clutch to be able to down shift. seems like it starting to do this a couple times a ride. any suggestions?
Any help appreciated.

Thanks Rails13

I too own a ;05 but not having shifting problems, yours could be clutch not releasing good or something in the clutch unit itself, or a hundred other things, where the hell is BD????

2005 here as well, no problems with the downshift, but I do know if I don't hit the heelshifter hard enough it'll slide into neutral rather than the next gear.

Won't down shift

Rails13

Used to happen with my 01' Once in a while I'd have to let up a bit on the clutch to get her to go into first. I never considered it a big deal, but someone else might have a different take on it.
Welcome to the forums.

Thanks for the welcome every one.
I've been hanging around for quit a while and finely got the nerve to join. Its starting to get a little cold here in Mich. so I'll have my mechanic take a look at the tranny and clutch. Just hate to stop riding if there is not snow or salt on the ground yet.

Welcome, it's a great group you've joined, so don't don't worry, be happy .... but I digress. It's a little like family here so you'll be treated right, but sooner or later someone will get on your nerves. ;)
